spiritual shift in 2012

Someone explain if there is a spiritual shift, what should we expect?

In a nut shell, the Mayans believed in the cosmic heartbeat, eternally retold and radiating from the epicenter of the experience we call this universe (i.e. the big bang), and their experience is somewhat legitimatized by the discovery of the microwave background radiation. The speculation of 2012 comes from their precision regarding astronomy and calender making, to them 2012 signified an ending and a new beginning, the 13th one to be exact, where evolution begins to move towards simplicity and away from complexity.

 

Does that mean we've been getting simpler throughout the last twelve calendar periods, or does 2012 represent a reversal of direction?

 

It doesn't mean anything, it's just belief.
What they believe is that evolution will change it's course.
So far, evolution has displayed itself towards favoring the more complex, it builds and builds upon complexity, according to them, 2012 signifies a reversal, whereas evolution will begin to mean things become more and more simple in the name of progress.

Did you read that? Hear it on the discovery channel? I'm not sure why the Mayans predicted we'd reverse evolutionary direction from complex to less complex.

if this were actually possible, from a basic level, and if it were actually going to happen, who exactly would have the facts on this? who would you trust to give you an answer? the pope? a nuclear physicist? a mayan historian? the dalai lama? somebody on hipforums? who would possibly know the answer to your question? i would question your question further rather than look for an answer.

 

it refers to a dimensional shift in planetary consciousness; many spiritual teachings feel that this will happen, although they cannot agree on an exact date in linear time - some say 2012, some feel it's 2016 or even 2032

it also corresponds with the cosmic shift into the age of aquarius

 

instead of waiting for the shift to hit the fan,

I like the idea that perhaps this will mark the end of Time itself, thus making "time travel" completely possible, even if that sounds paradoxical.

No i have no evidence about this whatsoever, i'm just sticking to my intuition about it. But how amazing would that be?

I think UFO encounters will increase around this era of time as well.

I like to look at 2012 more as an era rather than a specific point in time; though i am open to the idea that something significant will happen on December 21st.
