yep it was what I call earnest pop. You know sure it was consumed by the mass media but it wasn't soely made to feed the pop machine. Just guys having fun making fun music. If you ever caught them live you know the lead singer has an ass load of funnin htose football pants o his. I wish the music industrie would realise there is nothing wrong with pop music but contriving music soely to be popular is just evil. Oh i mean yeah the SD's WROCK!!!
Exactly, they weren't exactly groundbreaking or overly original, and most of their stuff was pretty consumer freindly. But at the same time you never got the feeling that they were a marketing tool, it was just good fun honest music. I like them.
Dude their touring again? Sweet... My sister and her boy friend about a month ago went out and bought Home Belly Groover because VH1 said they were once a jam band. Not bad at all...I always liked 'em anyway...
