ok so I have this little nugget and inside of it are all sorts of little cottony fibers, like a spiderweb. The rest from this batch does not have this. My question is, is this safe to smoke or is it some kind of fungus that will hurt me? It's not a hairy plant either if you're thinking that, this one litle nugget is the only piece with any in it.
If you can take a picture of it we will be able to tell, but it could be mold so I wouldnt smoke it till you are sure. Mold can make you sick.

ive seen this before on some buds that ive gotten before. i have just taken it out and thrown it away and smoked the pot and didnt notice anything bad. ive only seen it a few times and i have wondered what it was. its funny i wasnt expecting this thread to be like this. i was expecting the OP to say there was actual spiders in the pot. anyways if someone could figure out what this is id also like to know. i dont think that it will hurt you as long as you pick it off and just smoke the bud.
well guys I can't get a decent picture with my phone, it's not that good and the fibers are too fine for it to pick up on, even though you can see them plainly with your eyes. It's like silk or cotton fibers that penetrate every inch of it. I can't seperate it from the weed at all and it grew through the whole thing, this makes me think it is infected mycelium. the roots of a fungus or mold. I'm not going to smoke this, it's a puny little bud anyways compared to the rest of this shit which is good as hell
Can we say "spider mites" Its a real possibility that the grower had a spider mite infestation. If you try it there should be some snap, crackle and pops if it was mites.
i´ve had this in buds, too. i´m still not sure what it is, though. i wanna say it´s mold - especially if it can grow THROUGHOUT the entire bud. other times, i´ve thought it was something like those danelion spores - the funny little "umbrella" things that float through the air. maybe that got stuck in the bud as it was growing. but i really think it´s mold. what else can permeate a bud like that?
