I'm writing an OO(original oratory) for speech class, and I decided to do it on "why to not eat meat." I am gathering information on the topic and have found resources from peta.org, goveg.com, kfccruelty.com, and vegsoc.org. I need some more, and above all credible!, sites to use for my writing.
Do you have any specific points that you're focusing on? I suggest you divide your speech into small bits and then focus on each of those bits individually... That way, it'll be much easier for you, because you can just search each of the individual topics on the Internet... e.g. a lot of health sites have topics about vegetarianism... but there are far too many health sites to list all at once... http://www.animalliberation.org.au/vegoheart.html is a site I found today, it has some really, really good info that you could use for the health plan, I find that the health aspect is one of the best ways to convince omnivores to become vegetarian . Or maybe it is that I'm just a science/med freak and love educating people about their health . Anyhow, I'm sure you'll find the site exciting. Another cool vegan site is www.veganoutreach.org ... I don't think that you listed it It basically gives a clear, simple outline of the main points for going vegetarian/vegan, so you can work on them, develop them further Those are all the sites I can think of off the top of my head Hope I could help
I agree with going to Vegan Outreach, be sure to check out their tips for appropriate activism to maximize the impact of your speech. If you have time, you could order some Why Vegan? brochures from them to hand out, which are some of the best handouts on the subject. www.cok.net is another good site to check out.
