The only way I can ever seem to get through a 12-hour shift without going completely ADD is when I'm stoned, and my supply of good stuff is running low... Someone told me that if you cook your seeds and stems the THC will release just like if you were to make special brownies or something. Is this true? If it is, how do I cook them? I tried to do it once by sewing them into an old teabag and letting it seep for a bit. Does anyone have any ideas for me?
THC is not water soluble. That means that putting marijuana into water, even hot water, won't do much. At best you will get a small fraction of the THC in the (now ruined) plant matter. THC Tea has to be made with butter or milk, because THC is fat soluble. That means that THC will get stuck in the fat during heating and will remain there. As for sticks and seeds, I don't THINK seeds have ANY THC, but stems/sticks do have some. Much less by weight than the bud, but it's there, and you can use it in your cooking. Just remember never to make "weed tea" the same way you would make normal tea, because that is straight up throwing your marijuana in the garbage. Easiest way to eat marijuana is in Firecrackers, google it.
Thanks! I kinda figured it'd have to be done with milk or butter. I've made plenty of batches of cookies and stuff with the butter, but never with milk. Would it be the same process? (I realize I could look this all up online, but I'd rather listen to fellow kynd and hip people such as the people here on this board.) I have a TON of seeds and stems because for some reason I'm one of those people who likes to use every piece of something. Usually I just grind them up and smoke them mixed in w/ my schwagg but.... that's no fun anymore! I'd like to try a body high. If the tea idea isn't the best idea, does anyone have any other ideas? Couldn't I use the THC to make cookies, etc too?
Good for you for keeping your stems and sticks, better than just reflexively throwing it out without knowing if it's useful Use the whole buffalo I say. Firecrackers are super easy. Grind up your stems, sticks, and seeds as finely as you can (flour consistency is the best), and just stick it between two crackers with cheese on them. Microwave for . . . I honestly don't know. I've heard times varying from 10 seconds to 5 minutes. They have never worked for me personally but then again I have never gotten high off cooked marijuana. It may be due to my personal metabolic cycle (my IBS could certainly influence that too). Try 30 seconds. You also need to put in a lot of THC when you're cooking, much more than if you smoked it. Just using those stems and sticks might not work, unless you really have like an 1/8th oz worth of them.
I personally have been using my stems and seeds to make "Green Dragon". I have a mixture of a standard liquor bottle filled half way up with a mixture of orange flavored vodka and 151 rum. As I clean my pot I have been putting in all of the stems. I save the seeds for a far better use. Not that my weed has had many seeds for the most part. I figure that it will take me a while to fill my bottle with stems and as it fills up I will have to put in more booze. When it's full to the top I will let it sit for another week then I will enjoy it. I just bought some bricked weed that is full of stems and seeds but I bought it for making pot butter. So I don't care if I use the stems or seeds with that batch.
Alright well thanks guys! I'll definately keep both of your suggestions in mind. Someone just told me that if you get busted and have as many seeds as I do, they'll get you for intent to grow or some shit like that. If that's true... I definately need to get rid of them soon!
I thought I'd post now that I've experimented a little to let y'all know how it went. I've done 3 different batches, improving a little each time. 1st time: I put all my seeds and stems and a little bit of the real stuff into a few tea bags (leaving the tea in there for yummy flavoring) and boiled thm in a chai tea mix. I used chai because the kind I have includes milk (THC is fat soluable) and has to be boiled anyway. I let the stuff boil for awhile and then let it seap covered until the pan had cooled completely. The next morning I took the bags out, re-heated the tea, and headed off to work. Result: Not much of a body high. It took a pretty long time to hit, too. Usually with kynd goodies it only takes me 30 min. but this time it was more like an hour. 2nd time: This time the only difference was that I used less seads and stems, and more of just the good stuff. Result: Better high, took a little less time but was still slow and not that great. 3rd time: I'd given up on the tea idea, but when I decided to make some cookies, I thought I'd give it one more shot just for kicks. I baked up a few kynd blueberry muffins and cookies and used the leftover weed butter for the tea. This time, I used mainly weed with just a few seeds and stems in the same manner as above. On top of that, I slowly added the rest of the weed butter and added some extra flavoring to cover up the buttery taste. Result: A pretty decent Saturday morning! I'm not sure if it was the lack of seeds/stems, or the butter vs the milk that did the trick, but this time the high was much faster hitting and intense. I finished the rest of the tea with a muffin a few hours later and watched Paprika. It was a good time!
This is an Indian Tea that has been made for years using Marijuana. I am still trying to figure it out but I will be close to doing so, when I do I will post instructions and pictures in the Marijuana Forums. I am going to go to an Indian grocery store sometime soon and get everything I need. Feel free to try and let me know how it went. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhang Regarding the weed butter. I made a great batch last week feel free to search it out. I put up some of the results and a good enough discription for anyone to make it.
