I never had it before and Dan got me a 6 pack of it... it says it's "orginally from munich"- dont know where its from now but it does taste like a German beer. It seems, so far, (it takes me a while) to have a great flavor. Has anyone else had this beer?
I drink it on occasion. It's a decent German lager - much better than Beck's and St. Pauli Girl IMO. It makes for a good beer in the summer, and is a good alternative to all the overhyped Heineken, Bud, Corona, Coors shit. It's really just a run-of-the-mill Euro-lager, but it's one of the better ones on the market. Spaten-Franziskaner makes this beer. They make a great hefeweizen called Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse. It's one of my favorite wheat beers. Unfortunately, it's a lot harder to find than the Spaten.
yeah, i was thinking that is seems good for summer. i hate becks and i kinda like st. pauli girl but not that much...it has a weird bite and after-taste.
Like RAt said, its a decent lager. If you like Spaten then you should try their other beers: Oktoberfest, Maibock, Dark, or their Optimator which i consider the best beer they make.
