Hey, I´m studying out here in Sevilla all semester and I was wondering if there´s any goings on in Spain (preferably within andalucia) that I should know about, or even any that I probably shouldn´t know about...
i was in sevilla last summer, such a nice place Hang out at the Alameda de Hercules, thats where all the drunken hippie people are at every night!
Oh yeah, I´ve been out there for sure, that´s where you find the rockin morroccan. Who´s that in the picture on your sig? He looks remarkably like a guy I know at Oberlin.
Closing tide, tell me more about this Spannibas of which you speak. And Zepplin, you were here in the summer?? Holy crap, it must have been hot as shit, I´ve heard it gets up to 50 degrees celsius (or almost 120 farenheight) yikes!. I´m having a blast now but I´ll be glad to be leaving in May.
I dunno if always, but this year it's in Barcelona. You can get a lot of info about it at http://www.spannabis.com/menu2.html
it was bloody hot all day long...we stayed at this typical sevillian house, our room faced the patio and we had to keep window and door open cos it was impossible to sleep cos of the heat. it was really bad cos it smelled of cat wee LOL. The guy who rented the rooms lent us a couple of fans but still didnt do the trick. I remember one day it got to 47 degrees celcius... we were walking along the river that day. Not much to do during siesta time though... still the spanish know how to enjoy life to the full!!
Closing tide, Spannibas sounds quite interesting but the website is still not updated for 2006, it says that the festival is february 2005, kind of odd. ZepplinA, indeed the Spanish do know how to enjoy life to the full, I´m having a great time and probably am going to have a hard time adjusting back to the cold puritan attitudes back the states. Thanks everyone for your info
