I'm making it for dinner tonight. I've come to realize it's my favorite carb. I like the tried and true standard spaghetti and meatballs. Do you like spaghetti? What do you like on it? Gravy? Sauce? Oils?
I have never eaten spaghetti. Not that I object to it on moral grounds... or that I find it particularly unappetizing... it's like waterskiing. If someone were to offer me a plate of waterski, I would probably accept, but that has never happened, and I'm not interested enough to actually seek out waterskis. That, and I can't swim, either.
I have a fondness for spaghetti.....I used to call it basketti when I was young cuz i couldn't sound out "spa" for some reason. I used to eat reg ghetti all the time, now I love whole wheat ghetti! It has slight differrent taste, and I feel less guilty eating it, less cals & carbs and no bleaching agents in it. Trying to eat everything organic as possible ya know. I don't like much sauce on it, but I like basil & lite sauces. But my drawback is parmesan & romano cheese! I dump the stuff on!
I'm right with ya on the whole wheat spaghetti. I believe that it tastes better. I like regular spaghetti sauce and some parmesean cheese. Oh, and don't forget the garlic bread.
Oh man I love spaghetti! we just had some the other night. Meatballs and mushrooms and sauce and garlic bread and grated cheese! Count me in! Oh, a tip to keep your noodles from sticking in the pot is to boil the water with some vegetable oil! Works like a charm!
I like spaghetti, and now here I am in a computer lab at 10:54 am craving it. Thanks, Duncan. I've never had the whole wheat kind. Maybe I'll have to stop at the health food store this afternoon and pick some up. I was at my sister-in-law's birthday party a few weeks ago and had angel hair spaghetti. For some reason, I like it better than the thicker spaghetti. I've usually had it with red sauce. In this part of the country, it's hard to find it any other way in a restaurant, even though this town is very heavily Italian-American and there seems to be an Italian restaurant on every other corner. I've never heard of gravy on spaghetti, but basil sauce sounds yummy. I think spaghetti might be good with just a little bit of oil. Marymicrogam, it's very unusual for an adult in the western world to have never tried spaghetti. However, I'll concede that I've never waterskied...but I'm from Ohio. Around here, you almost have to hide from spaghetti not to have tried it. And I do swim, but not very well.
I hate spaghetti I simply have no skill whatsoever in cooking them...they get sticky, they taste like plastic, i never seem to let them boil enough...the problem is i like spaghetti sauce, so i eat it plain
Mmmm...pasketti....love that stuff!! I'll take my spaghetti with tomato sauce, meatballs, and lots of grated parmesan....maybe for lunch...
I like the angel hair pasta noodles. I usually put in lots of sauce and meatballs and some garlic salt. Garlic salt makes everything taste better =).
I'm sick of spaghetti... every time I make it, it tastes same old, same old. Where am I going wrong? This is what my sauce is made from: - One tin of tomato puree - One sachet of tomato paste - One onion - Two cloves garlic - Teaspoon of sugar - Pinch salt - Half a kilo (1 lb) mince. I've also tried using jars of pre-made spag sauce and it still takes boring. My parents used to make yummy spaghetti but I can't seem to recreate it.
AHah what the fuck?! gravy?! I like spaghetti with butter and cheese, or with tomato sauce, no herbs. I hate herbs. I make my own sauce for this reason ahahha.
http://www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,1615,148173-251192,00.html http://www.recipegoldmine.com/pastasauce/pastasauce44.html I was raised calling red sauce "sauce". I have heard some people regionally refer to it as gravy.
How about tortellini (filled with cheese or cheese & mushrooms or cheese & spinach) with alfredo sauce. you can just buy the pasta & sauce, cook it up and yummmmy!
we had some for dinner, it was good. i think im the only person in the world who cuts my spaghetti before i eat it, all that fork spinning is too hard for me.
