Do you agree? There are like a million different kinds of soup, but HOMEMADE CHICKEN SOUP (at least how I make it, I hate my gran's chicken soup) and lentil soup kick ass. I bought 24 cans of progresso soup for 36 dollars, that's expensive huh? But I've had soup for breakfast and lunch for a week! I never get tired of it! What is your favorite soup?
I like 'clean out the fridge day' soup. You take one well picked over chicken carcass and cover it with water and then bring it to a boil in a large stock pot. Add your seasonings and a few onions... When the bone structure resembles mush you empty the liquid into a strainer...I still have;nt figured out what to do with the solids yet, but return the broth to the pot and add all of the vegitables that want to be part of the soup. I looove avacoados in soup. I think I am going to make avacado soup...
mmm....avocados..... you're going to have to try a chicken that comes from my aunt and uncle sometime....best damn chicken you'll ever taste, free-range and all organic.....they say everything is bigger in texas, the chickens are roughly the size of a small turkey.....that's some big chickens....hehehe....
also...have paintingjames make you some soup sometime.....he makes some of the best soup, outside of my mom and grandma, that i've ever tasted
Regarding Progresso soup- It is pretty expensive. It is $2.00/can in some stores here. I LOVE their tomato basil soup. It kick's Campbell's ass so hard. It is delicious. I eat it for lunch with a sandwich. Sandwich your favourite bread Tofurkey Slices Tofutti "cheese" slice, cheddar style Masoya Nayosaise or Veganaise lettuce tomato fresh pepper and salt (I have found fresh ground pepper tastes better than already ground) toast the bread and make the sandwich. Serve with a cup of the Progresso tomato basil and some tings!!
I love watercress soup! It's amazing when made with proper chicken stock. Also a good leek and potato can never go amiss.
I love TOMATO SOUP the best!! (Creamy) Ah my........When i was in Pennsylvania they made THE MOST AWESOME SOUPS I HAD EVER HAD!! (The tomato soup was fabulous) I asked the cook how he did it... HE USED ALL MILK INSTEAD OF WATER!! Oh my........
Yeah soups pretty good, the best is homemade though, like where you just stick everything leftoverin the fridge in the soup,
i LOVE this soup! cold, hot, luke warm.. i don't care.. it's all yummy! :eggnog: cross off the eggnog and write in soup..
my friend had his teeth knocked out and he can only eat soup and mash potato for about 6 months. Tell him soup is the greatest food on earth and he will still attempt to bite through your nose with his gums
1 medium avocado; 1/2 medium organic cucumber with skin, chopped (peel if not organic); 2 stalks celery, chopped, 4 c. spinach leaves; juice of 1/2 lime; 1 Tbsp. nutritional yeast; 1/2 tsp. cumin; 1/2 tsp. coriander; handful fresh dill; handful fresh cilantro; cayenne & Celtic salt to taste; water as needed (start with 1/4 c.) Optional garnish: 1 ripe tomato, diced. Place all ingredients in blender. Blend for 10-20 seconds, then taste. Adjust salt, lime, and spices to taste. Add more water if the mix is too thick. Pour soup into glasses or bowls. Garnish with chopped tomatoes. Serve immediately or chill. Will keep one day refrigerated.
I love Vegetable Beef Soup....its sooooooo yummmyyyyy!! But since I don't get enough time to prepare it I prefer purchasing frozen soups by classic foods, it tastes as good and fresh as the ones made at home
I'd put Pizza as the best food in the world. But Chicken Laksa or Miso Ramen, they count as soups, would come second
I love soup! My favs are carrot and coriander (the carrots are so cheap right now)and a thai shitaki, chili, ginger and rice noodle thing I make. Soup is a great way to use up all the bits of stuff that are leftover. I always save potato stock and keep it in the freezer.
There's this local eatery here that makes the BEST homemade vegetable soup I've ever had, and you can go in there and get all you can eat for pretty cheap. as store bought soups go I'd have to say my favorite is Progresso lentil soup.
I like soup when the weather gets cool. My favorites are homemade chicken noodle soup, and vegetable beef soup made with leftover smoked brisket. Bring on the cool weather!
