Lost in Translation soundtrack was pretty good, imho. Though the amelie soundtrack by Yann Tiersen was outstanding, probably the best sound track I've ever heard.
Right now I am liking the soundtrack to Lost in Translation. I love Kevin Shields/My Bloody Valentine.
I Am Sam - awesome because it has all these Beatles remakes that are done extremely well in my opinion (cept maybe let it be, kinda off) Moulin Rouge I & II and for more score type of things, the I am Sam score, Braveheart, and all three Lord of the Rings soundtracks are great.
Zabriskie Point Trevor Jones: Last Of the Mohicans Dark Chrystal Labyrinth (with David Bowie) Almost Famous Easy Rider AmeliƩ (just THIS work of the composer - the other was garbage) Purple Rain Some Ennio Morricone Stuff The Monty Python Things and many more
Damn, I need to listen to more soundtracks. Every time this question comes up, my answer is the same: Easy Rider. Well, that's because it's a great soundtrack, and I've listened to relatively few soundtracks.
Still Crazy - a British movie about a 70's band getting back together 30 yrs later - great original music FM - a 70's movie with excellant classic rock
Zabriskie Point. Great Music by the Dead and Pink Floyd. Also, a very good film to watch when you're really high. Woodstock. It surprises me that nobody here has mentioned it, but it has some of the greatest music in the 60's (Hendrix, The Who, Jefferson Airplain, Ten Years After, Crosby Stills & Nash, etc etc etc).
Yeah Baby!!! also: Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Forest Gump, Fear and loathing in Las Vegas, Footloose ....
What the fuck, do you even know what the hell you're talking about? Have you listened to albums like Rue Des Cascades, L'Absente, or C'Etait Ici? Christ man, open your damn ears! The man is a fucking genius. You be a fool to limit yourself to the amelie soundtrack.
