Do you guys believe in Soulmates? Do you think there's exists one person in the world for every other person? If Soulmates really do exist, how would a person know if they've met theirs? I read Paulo Coleho's book 'Brida' and it got me thinking, i thought it was an interesting topic. So let me know what you think! eace:
I believe in soul-mates because I have found mine But I don't think that only one person in the world for every other person.
I think yes that there is a soulmate, but not necessarily just one. You hear of couples in fact there was a recent one.......where husband and wife have been together for years. One of them will pass and and moments later so will the partner.
I think people have many soulmates. Anyone who has held any kind of importance in my life is my soul mate.
soulmates is just the newest catch phrase. My wifes friend found her soulmate and a year later she wanted him to rot in hell. What happens when your soulmate dies and you hook up with someone new tell you die and all of a sudden you have to explain to your soulmate in heaven "well you were gone".
1) no. i don't even believe in souls. 2) no. nobody is "for" anyone else. some people are more compatible than others. 3) i don't know, ask their soul?
I am stuck in a middle ground, where I don't want to, maybe even can't, accept our finite, meaningless lives, but I also can't fathom/explain the existence of consciousness after life. Part of the reason I want my ashes to be put in one of those tree-planter thingies.
It's not necessarily that i believe in soulmates but probability, there is about 7.5 billion humans on Earth and you are just one among them all. How big of an ego must one have not to find at least one person (out of billions) that they are compatible with. Just sayin Check my numbers on probability above, so maybe. If you've ever had loving family, friends or pets i think it'll be easy to tell - though probably subtle at first.
