Hey there. Nick from Greece. Does anyone know a rock n roll song which goes like "I've always wanted a dance, always wanted a romance"? Sorry, but that's all I can recall. Any answers would be hugely appreciated!

    You mean,

    "Went to a dance
    Lookin' for romance
Saw Barbara Ann, so I thought I'd take a chance
    "

    ???

Enjoy your stay... hope I can help...

    I think I got it.....

    Pay for every dance
    selling each romance
    Ooh, I could say
    There would come a day
    When news will pass away
What could they say about me
When the end comes I know
    There were just the juggalos

"Barbara Ann" by The Beach Boys ( and I think it was a cover by them).

That's it indeed. Thanks. It must have been a cover cause what I listened on the radio was much more danceable

Yeah I think the Beach Boys recorded their version at a party or something and just used it to fill LP space and it was a surprise hit for them. I love the Beach Boys but I always hated their cover of that!
