First off, It was written for a rock star, but I can't say which one. If you can guess, then that's cool bt it's slightly personal. He's very famous anyway. Once again The reflection in the mirror lets you down Lets you down, lets you down Once again The world that you live in puts you down Puts you down, puts you down. Did they seal your heart Without a reason why? Did they still your soul Leave you crucified and stoned You're not alone. Once again You feel that you've been cheated by this game By this game called life Once again You've been misunderstood and now you see What no one else can see Did they seal your heart Without a reason why? Did they still your soul Let your spirit die without a home You're not alone. Child without a name I know you're not the one to blame You're spirit bears no shame. I can see into your eyes And, baby, I don't see no lies Only desperate cries. Did they seal your heart Without a reason why? Did they still your soul Trade your life for lies When there's nowhere to go You're not alone. When there's no one to hold Yo're not alone. I've been there before You're not alone. -Rani Lee Taylor. future rock star
Well, future rockstar, being a rockstar is all about doing what the fans/press/record labels want. Can you name a rocker or band that became famous all over the world by using a freeform piece like the one you wrote?
Syd Barrett wasn't too famous, though... I always coincided "rockstar" with being "incredibly famous."
The song reminds me of Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone", as in I could set the lyric's to it. *shrugs* It's a start. Certainly better than anything I could ever come up with. I prefer prose.
better than any lyrics i could write. im not a poet. im better with making the musical parts of songs
The dude I wrote it for... well... it wasn't necessarily classic rock, but not modern rock either. Hmmmm
Nope. I did write one for him too though. God my heart bleeds for him as well. And it was a response to the Wikipedia article on Axl Rose. Wierd I know. It felt right.
