Hi, I'm planning to go to Australia, august 2008. But I'm wondering are there any special places I have to see... nature, culture...? I don't know where I stay yet... Hopefully someone had some great ideas. Thxs
It is usually impossible to see everything, but I would include the high country of Victoria and NSW and Wilson's Prom.
Definitely Byron Bay, the Whitsundays, Fraser Island. Pretty much the whole East coast. Do some diving on the Great Barrier Reef.. And the outback of course, like Uluru and Alice Springs.
Start at the top of australia, rent a 4wd and cruise DOWN the coast,beautiful! (if your a lover of sandy white beaches and sunburn, its puuuurrrrrrrrrfect)! Western Queensland is gorgeous too, its that reall authentic, corks dangling from the hat image, but its in drought at the moment, so everything looks 3 times as dry & its bloody hot!
