i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
cool, what kinda music do yall make?
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
i like to call it "classicesque rock"
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
classic rock aint really a genre..
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
that's why i call it classicesque
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
ooohhhh i see.. classical/rock fusion stuff?
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
no..just music that you can't put in a genre, but has all of the major influences from classic (1960's 1970's) rock, but not old enough to be considered classic
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
most if not all music nowadays takes influence from various artists that played back in the 60s and 70s
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
seeing as how most everything has been done..
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
    yeah, i guess...but i don't listen to anything made after 1979, it's kinda a rule i have
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
    thats pretty sad actually
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
well...i hate everything from the 80's, the 90's except for Nirvana (sometimes, they're too heavy for me) and 2000's
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
have you listened to all the other music from the 80s, 90s, and this decade? from the 80s, great great music came from the underground noise pop and cowpunk genres, and the re-emergance of *real* british guitar pop in the late 80s and early 90s (thanks to bands like the stone roses, the la's, oasis)... the 90s were just marvelous, as have been the last 5 years
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
    i hate Oasis

    and later..
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
anyways, 1979 is my limit of music...sad, pothetic it may be, but modern shit just doesn't move me the way 60's and 70's music does
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
thats because you havent looked for any good modern music
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
so you admit that youve hardly heard any oasis, then?
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
i don't fucking know! i don't like them, so, if i hear anything new, i don't pay attention, cause to me, their music is shit
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
but you havent even heard anything! hahaha...
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
how can you not like them if youve never even given them a listen?
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
ok..sad, eh? when you'd put the Gallaghers over Morrison, when clearly, he's one of the greatest frontmen, songwriters, and singers of all time
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
LMFAO yeah go tell that to any band geek or music nerd
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
and not the "gallaghers"... just noel
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
i knew that youd never even listened to them, when you said that they sound too much like the beatles
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
well, they do. and they look like them, too
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
yeah, because oasis are really sportin' them moptops and the longhair that they had later in their career... and no, you couldnt name a single song of their's that could be passed off as a beatles song
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
the beatles never used distorted or overdriven guitars
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
what would you rather? the beatles? or oasis? Zeppelin? or oasis?
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
cept on 'helter skelter' and possibly a few other white album songs
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
i could go on with bands from the 60's and 70's so much better than oasis or anything around now
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
well i can always listen to the beatles, and obviously them and zeppelin were/are better than them... but to say that they sound like the beatles is just letting people know that youve never listened to them.. and then making comparisons like "the beatles and led zeppelin are better than oasis" when you have never even listened to them makes you sound like a complete fool
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
haha, yeah right.. most of the best music ever has been released in the last 10 years
Blair Of Revolution 27-Fuck RHS, Blue And White All The Way! says:
    bullshit
i love you most of all, my favourite vegetable says:
you wouldnt know, youre off in your own closed-minded little world

and then he preceeded to ban me..

lol, oh dear me. It's like trying to get a little kid to try eating his greens...He insists he is not going to like them on principle, without even giving them a chance. soulrebel - i'm so on your side.

you are only depriving yourself, citrus. There was a lot of great stuff from pre 1979 but there's also been a lot of fantastic stuff since then. Equally, yep there is a LOT of utter shite around now, but it's not like every song from back then was perfect either.

by the way, how strict is this arbitrary 1979 date? Do you listen to stuff that was released on the 1st of January 1980, or is that too modern?

Yeah, but the 60s and 70s music can only give you so much until it gets repetitive.

He needs to expand his horizon.

When I first started listening to the music of the 60's and 70's my mind was complety blown away, especially when mixing the music with drugs. I always found that music to be very reflective and sorrowful. It was a time when the Blues sound became very progressive.

Seriously, 60s and 70s music gets irritating when it's all you focus on. There are countless bands today putting out amazing music, and it pisses me off that people write it off simply because it's recent.

    It's just fucked up.
