some res help?

my bowl hasn't been cleaned in awhile and it has a ton of res inside of it. i was wondering if anyone can suggest a tool i can use, something that wont mark up the bowl or break it and that is around the house. i heard of a nail filer, but i think that would mark it up. can anyone help? all replies are appreciated and thanks ahead of time.

grain alcohol soak your bowl in that let the alcohol dry and you just got your self some nice hash oil

190 proof alcohol, you can use rubbing alcohol but id rather use grain just incase its not dry or something gets lieft behind,i dont have to worry about inhaling grain as much as rubbing alcohol

I have my pipe soaking in rubbing alcohol right now with a fan on top of it. Does anyone know how long it might take for approximately 500ml of rubbing alcohol to evaporate?

i was going for a more of actually just getting some of the res out with like a paper clip or something. anyone have any suggestions on what i can use to do this? i'm afraid that i might end up scratching if i use something to hard.

you don't think a paper clip would be to hard and take some of the paint off the glass bowl?

 

painted glass? i imagine paint would come off glass pretty easily. stick with ribbing alcohol and salt.

 

i mean my bowl is a glass bowl. i have done the rubbing alcohol before and it works fine. i'm not looking to totally clean my bowl. i should be more clear. i just simply want to make a nice size res ball. so i was looking to see what i could use around the house that would do the job without having to worry about crackin my bowl or ruining it in any way.

 

I always use a paper clip, haven't scratched my bowl in 3 years.

Glass isn't (or shouldn't be.....) painted, so no worries there. You really shouldn't be able to scratch glass with a paper clip or anything like that.

 

Right. the trippy colors come from the glass its self, not paint.

 

yeh you shouldnt buy pieces with paint on them/. if its glass, you wont stratch it with most things
