People who don't know how to read stickys, or use a search engine. You should be right at home.

    I prefer SARDONIC.

I helped Paix write that sticky, y'know. (most of the work is hers)

And it has just reinforced my belief that over half of the hippies who actually know how to read refuse to.

Man...you're not THAT twisted!!! But you are on the right track.
    Endeavor to persevere!!!!

I know I've driven F.S.77- sang "77 Sunset Strip" but I can't remember where it was.

Maybe I'll get around to reading that there "sticky" one day.

okay well i'll give it a go. not sure "what" the rainbow family is exactly. it means different things to different people. in any case, once a year (around July 4th) a bunch of people of all different kinds (1000s of em) gather somewhere in the wilderness to do whatever it is they do. some of the stuff they might do is ... hug, dance, drum, sing, meditate, provide food, pray, party, swim, wallow in the mud, juggle, paint faces, trade stuff, sit around talkin and ect and so on and so forth. there are smaller gatherings that happen in different states during the course of the year. these are called Regionals. "they" don't "come" to California (unless the gathering is being held in Cali that year) but there are rainbow people who lives in Cali. the saying goes that "anyone with a belly button is rainbow". that would include you, assuming you have a belly button.

Wow, that's amazing. Why Rainbows hold Gatherings is to PRAY FOR PEACE to calm the vibes of the world and to send good energies to the heavens to calm them. To commune with the nature of the prophosy. To Gather in likemindedness, in the knowing that babylon will fall and out of the ashes will come a people of many colors to re-inhabit the earth in peace and harmony.

If you are a human being you are welcome as part of creation, but not all human beings think rainbow. The work is in generating enough energy to penetrate through all the negativity that is being sent out in all directions and subdue it with positive energies to restore balance and harmony with the Universe, so we do not destroy ourselves and our planet.

It's getting back to the natural ways of living and dying. It's a time to discuss and communicate ideas on preparing for the future and in preservation of mankind/self.

It is also a time for celebration and in hornoring the prophosy. A celebration of the fall of babylon and a new beginning for humanity. It is not the celebration itself, but why we celebrate.

This is my undersatnding of what Rainbow ppl are about. That is what joined us all together in the beginning, back in the 70s late 60s. The Gathering of the Tribes.

I think each of us that resonate with Rainbow philosophy gleen something different from it. Kinda like they get the juice they need to help them grow. It energizes/radiates the connection with higher self and draws positive vibrations to you as a communication tool.

The is a lot more that is waiting to be discovered in self. That is where we all must start is with self. When we have ourself in alignment then we are in harmony.

    Bright Blessings on you journey
    sh

Well, that's one reason, and I grant that the focus of the Annual July Gathering is the prayer circle on the morning of the 4th. But I know lots of people....I'll even go out on a limb, and say a simple majority (50%+1) of the people at an Annual Gathering are not there PRIMARILY for the morning of the 4th prayer. You have the Xtians that go to try to get the Heatherns to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and who believe the prayer circle on the 4th is blasphemy. You have the Good Chrstians, who are there to feed people, dig shitters, provide medical care, go into their closets, and pray. People come there to sell drugs and make money. Young men, and I guess young women, too, come there to get laid. People come to make music. People, like me, go just for all the other people. People come because they believe it is somehow some kind of a protest against the Government....Hell, I knew a guy who would come to buy used cars, fergoshsakes.....&c ad infinitum

yep. that's why i tried to keep my rainbow explaination/description vague. folks attend gatherings for any number of reasons and everyone does their own thing. the climatic July 4th Omalong is a big deal for me but one can't assume it's a big deal for everyone who attends a gathering.

I used to gather to pray for peace on the 4th. Stopped doing that years ago. They kept throwing me out of the circle. While everyone chanted OMMMM....poor old dyslexic me kept chanting MOE!!!!!!!

There are as many reasons to gather as there are stars in the sky. IMHO the important thing is we continue to gather.

In the end, the questions we will have to answer will be ones we have yet to ask.
