The other day I had to go to the hospital super late at night because I had tonsilitis. Nehoo, the person at the front desk asked my Dad when my b-day was >I dunno why she didn't ask me< My dad then looked at me and asked when my b-day was.

Now that I think about this..he has never really known for sure how old I am or when my birthday is. I live with the guy. I know when his birthday is. What is up with this? Shouldnt he, as a father, at least know my age and my birthday?

You're the one that needs to lighten up. I didn't ask for your negative comments, nor Arcades. It is, after all, a random thought forum. Piss off if your gonna be overly hateful. It's uncalled for, go to a hate forum instead.

Ages are trivial and dates, artificial.

    That's good.

Would you rather have one that was never around yet was strangely fanatical about remembering everything or would you rather have one that was there for you but had to be reminded of your birthday?

I forget everyone's birthday except for my own and my mothers. I can sometimes remember that my step-dads is on the first day of spring (March 21, hurrah) and I know that my dad and grandma are two days apart in either mid June or mid July, but other than that... I'm lost. Oh, except for one girl, her birthday is May 4 (May the fourth be with you....we were very nerdy kids)

Anywho, so long as he still does something special on your birthday, who cares if he doesn't remember it ten months before it's up
