Some Confessions of Jatom

I know that what I am going to say will upset many of you, but seeing as how this is a Christian forum, and I’m Christian, I’m going to say it anyway.

• I affirm that the triune God of the Bible exist, and is the creator and sustainer of the entire universe
• I affirm that God created the universe out of nothing—spoken into existence by His Word
• I affirm that God made the first man, and in His image.
• I affirm that the first man and woman were perfect but because of their sin the entire universe is now in a fallen state.
• I affirm that man, in his fallen state, is so contaminated by sin that even his thinking is affected and thus futile when unaided by God
• I affirm that in his fallen state, man is dead in his transgressions, and enslaved to sin.
• I affirm that God the Father, sent His son to die as a sacrifice for our sins, and in doing so paved the way for redemption which comes through Him only.
• I affirm that ultimately it is the work of the Holy Spirit which brings a man to a saving knowledge. That is, it is the Holy Spirit which convicts man of his sin, and his need to submit to the gospel message.
• I affirm that my ultimate purpose in life is to glorify God in all that I do, although I fail at this daily.
• I affirm that any thought or action not done to the glory of God is sin.
• I affirm that there is such a place as Hell prepared for those who reject God, and in their own supposed autonomy elevate themselves to gods
• I affirm that there is a such a place as Heaven prepared for those who choose to submit to God and His will.

 

Uh, good for you, I guess.

Well every (good) church has a gigantic mural of Jesus, painted within the church, usually behind the candles and the reverend's podium.

And I've never seen a picture of Jesus without long hair ...

So he must have long hair, right?
