I really want to start meditating, but where to start is quite confusing. So many people saying so much! Would you recommend the book How to Meditate: A Guide to Self-Discovery by Lawrence LeShan? I was thinking of picking it up this week. Any quick tidbits/info is also really worth it to me, since I'm planning on dropping acid for the first time by the end of the week. Will medidating help my trip out as much as I get the feeling it will? (I realize that just starting to medidate for half a week before won't help, but...) I just hope to gain better focus from meditating and a more 'chill' mood to my overall day. Focusing my studies and growing mentally are my main inspirations, FYI. Not for religious reasons at all, at least as of yet.
just go sit in a pitch black room for an hour without moving really thats all you gotta do although you probably wont be able to stand doing that for an hour but try regularly and you'll be able to eventually
you gotta find the best way for you to meditate. some get semi transcendent while playing a violin, some get it while knitting some get it doing something else. the catch is to find the method thats going to make you most connected deep within your psyche.
