The moon wobbling influences the plate tectonics and vulcanism, as does all the glaciers melting. Some observers have cautioned that the ocean currents may already be changing. Forget about covid, if the ocean currents change, the US and UN are the only organizations in the world with a large enough military to provide rescue services, and the entire economy will have to be scraped and reinvented. Nobody knows what the fuck is happening, just that its nothing anybody wants.
Thankfully, recent progress in geology has made it possible to produce significantly more accurate models of what is happening inside the earth, and they are quite close to fully characterizing the influence of the moon on our plate tectonics, but I'd give them another decade just to be sure.
