thats not so early. still, it is earlier than i prefer to be obligated to do things, so i feel for you. but on the unusual event i have to open the store at work, i have to be in there as early as 5:00AM on weekdays, meaning i have to get up at 4:30 or sometimes earlier.
whats wrong with me? despite being raised in a christian household, i myself am not a christian and while i respect the tremendous significance of the holiday to actual devout christians, it means little to me personally and i have no reason NOT to work. not having sundays off doesnt mean i dont get days of rest, its just a different day. i'm not celebrating easter, so why should i belittle the actual spiritual significance of such a holy day by latching on to some rediculous bullshit about rabbits and eggs and chocolate just so i can get a day off of work, and not get paid? i feel celebrating easter as a secular holiday cheapens it, and won't celebrate it unless my family is having some gathering and invites me, in which case it would be rude not to go. as it is, i'll be working, because i'm not rich and i need to pay my rent, and because easter is not a day of much significance to me, who is not convinced of the divinity of jesus, even if most of his teachings were pretty good.
