I think it is that which will see the Tories get back (albeit by default).
Labour is still unorganised and Crorbyn seen as an unsafe pair of hands by those whose vote/s and support is needed to enable a numerically viable choice.
(Coupled with the apathy, or those who say they will vote, say they vote one way and do not)

Democracy allows (subject to some restrictions) all people to be put forward and with the right degree of support, the opportunity to serve - despite a good degree of opposition to do so - that is the fundamental base for the Electoral process - Anyone can have a chance to serve, lead and direct .
As Abe said "You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time" - Don (for he seems to act like one)Trump has done it once, so we'll see if Lightening strikes twice for the U.S.

As I see it now the General Election will be mainly fought on the Brexit debacle .

The public are not keen on Jeremy Corbyn . That is a comment I keep hearing and agree with it . I just don't think he is PM material .

Boris Johnson isn't popular either but perhaps more popular than Jeremy Corbyn ?

So I still don't think any of the 2 large parties will win outright .

Therefor the coalitions that could happen

Conservatives + Brexit Party ( Both want to leave the EU ASAP )

Labour+ Lib Dems ( Both want a Second Referendum )

I am not as confident as you . I still think the Tories will get back in .

The only chance Labour have of winning an election outright will be for them to change their leader . Jeremy reminds me of Michael Foot . Both have their hearts in the right place but are just not PM material .

  11. As i'm from australia i hope a labour government is formed.

A few developments that I saw on the local news for those who live up North .

Around Manchester and I think Merseyside the Greens are stepping down where a Liberal Candidate is contesting a seat. The Greens have entered into a pact with the LIbdems . Not sure if this is just restricted to the North or whether it is a nationwide agreement.

The pact between Tory and the Brexit party hasn't happened as yet . So at the moment they will be fielding candidates in areas were the Tories also have a candidate. Once or if an agreement is made this will change .

Both the major parties have stated that there will be more investment in the North but nothing concrete as yet. The North have been promised this before and it hasn't quite happened .The North is considered by both parties as a major battle ground . So lets see what they offer in exchange.

Some concerning news that was on the local Radio bulletin and concerns us in the North West. The reliance on food banks has increased by 16% over the year . This data was supplied by the Food Bank groups themselves.

This should not be happening in this country and for me anyway is a signal that some sort of change is needed .

I have still not decided how I am voting as yet and will be looking at social issues like the above and who will be investing more in the North West . The cutting of Foreign Aid (until we get our own house in order) is also something I will be looking for . We are no longer a "rich" country and I don't believe the giving of Foreign Aid in the form of cash should be done for PR purposes. The supply of physical help is something different such as specialist people for earthquake disasters , isn't a problem to me and should continue.

But we are a rich country - it’s just that neoliberal policies have increased inequality so that the already wealthy are much better off while for nearly everyone else incomes have stagnated or fallen. On top of that in real terms public services have been drastically defunded also for ideological neoliberal reasons so those on the margins find themselves having to use food banks or even selling their bodies to make ends meet.

The problem is that people have been taught to blame others for what the neoliberals have done – the right wing press cry that it’s all the fault of the EU or immigrants and people fall for it and vote the neoliberals back into power again.
