so whats their to do in the netherlands other than smoke weed in coffe shops and browse the red light, as neither past times interest me. Ive been thinking of booking a trip to belgium on some sort beer/brewery/bar tour, with maby an extra week to recover and do whatever. amsterdams looks like a short drive on the maps, might be something to do. I will probably book in the winter for the off season rates. eruopean winters are pretty mild compaired to what im used to. it snowed about 35cm where I live today, and its about -8C tonight.
A'dam has loads of famous museums, markets, shops, parks, cinemas, architecture, great restaurants and numerous other non-drug related things to do, such as visiting a 'Brown Bar/cafe'. These places drugs are not allowed but are very cosy (gezellig) and typically Dutch. Try the Heineken brewery tour or see the Anne Frank house or hire a bike, ride 30 mins out of the city to see authentic windmills still being used. Go to a Diamond factory or see masters such as Van Gogh or Rembrandt. See the Tropical/botanical gardens or view the 2 narrowest houses in the world. Grab a live music concert, go on a canal tour or see a house boat dedicated to 100 stray cats. There are loads of things to do in A'dam apart from the RLD and drugs. Maybe try and search other threads in this section for other ideas.
