for breakfast today. when i make breakfast, i can time it so that the eggs will be done cooking by time the toast is popping up in the toaster. usually no one is around to witness it, but my sisters fiance was in the kitchen and saw it. so i ask him if he liked how i timed it. - he says "yea, you should get a tv show, call it '101 ways to make eggs, because all you make is eggs and toast' " haha
You're pretty good fitzy! I consider myself a pretty good cook, but I haven't mastered the perfect timing of toast popping up at the same time as the eggs being done. Usually my eggs are done first, and then the toast pops up a few seconds or so afterwards. My toaster sucks too. I really need to watch it because sometimes it burns the crap out of stuff even on the number 1 setting. Stupid thing. I need a new one, it's pretty outdated, plus only one side of it works right now. It's a four-slicer, and I can only use two slots! But I don't make enough toast to really be like "oh man, I really need to go buy a new toaster!" But then I complain when I DO make toast. :banghead: This morning I was toasting some cinnamon raisin bread for the kids, ran upstairs to get a hair band for my daughter, and came down and the toast was dark. Yuck.
burnt toast is good for things, but i dont' think your kids are old enough for that haha toasters make great christmas gifts too the way i do it is i put i heat the pan up, while whipping the eggs with my fork and then pour the eggs in the pan and then i put the 2 slices of bread in teh toaster on setting 4. then i get the spices and cheese out, wait until the bottom layer of the eggs is cooked, put the spices and cheese on and scramble it up in the pan for about 30 seconds and then i turn the stove off, put the eggs on the plate as the toast is popping up. never fails to work.
Me too! I almost have it so the coffee is done brewing and at a sipable temp too. Now if only we can get the bacon worked out without resorting to that microwave shit....
What exactly is burnt toast good for? I like my toast barely toasted, just a really light toasting. I don't eat eggs all that often, but if I do, I like either sunnyside up or an omelet. I make scrambled on occasion, but for some reason, they always make me feel queasy. I don't know why.
hang overs i like omeletes, but i tend to like everything i put in my omeletes scrambled up with the eggs - thats what i do on the plate anyways when i get the omeletter, just mash it all together...so why not just cook it that way, makes it easier
Wow, really? It helps with hang overs? I had never heard of that before! I don't think I could stomach it. Yuck! Then again, it's extremely rare that I ever drink enough to get a hangover. The last time I did was last February. Oh my goodness, I went with my husband out of town for a business dinner party at a hotel for his place of employment, a kind of business contact meeting. We had my mother staying at the house with the kids so we didn't have to worry about them. So we had a whole night to ourselves, and what did we do? Partied way too hard. Both he and I ended up in the room of our hotel fighting for the bathroom to throw up in, all night long. And going home? I had to keep my eyes closed the entire hour and a half way home because if I opened them, I started gagging again. We were MISERABLE! Stupid, stupid! You mash your omelet all together? Not me! It would seem too much like scrambled eggs then!
yea i find burnt toast helps alot, along with gatorade. i have had 1 bad experience iwth the gatorade though. after waking up after a party, grabed a gatorade to drink some, but it turned out to be a mix of gatorade and some alcohol. that was fun yea, i end up mashing it together so it kinda looks like scrambled eggs haha
one day you will make a good dad with those egg and toast skills .... you have to throw a pot of coffee in the mix in order to be "husband material" though.
I like toast, especially well done. Say 'roast' five times quickly. (roast, roast, roast, roast, roast) Now then. What do you put in the toaster? (toast) No! You put bread in the toaster. .
I eat a dozen raw eggs for breakfast every morning. It's not that I think raw eggs are better for you, but I personally cannot STAND the taste / smell / texture of cooked eggs, so while others might think it's disgusting, for me it works great! :] Mmmmmmm MMMMM, bitch!!
