so i just opened the fridge

and to my surprise, theres food in it. holy shit, we have food in the fridge

 

I just went major grocery shopping this morning so my fridge and cupbards are packed full. But I don't have to cook dinner tonight because we're going to my sister's birthday party and having dinner there, so yay me!

 

i was stoked to see eggs and stuff, but i had my lucky charms already in the bowl, but i'll have eggs for breakfast tomorrow

 

I think I'm going to make some french toast for breakfast here tomorrow. It's been a while since I made some.

 

I'm eatin' leftovers..The good kind, as opposed to some unidentified sludge in a container.

Mmmmm..french tooaasst...*makes homer simpson sounds*

 

i'm too lazy to do that....plus, i don't have any VT maple syrup to use, and i can't use mass produced store bought maple syrup

 

Mmm, do you like those maple leaf candies? Those things are good! Very sweet, can't eat a whole lot of them, but they're nice every once in a while for a treat.

 

yea, those are good, but like you said, vert sweet, so i can't eat to many

 

I made some pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting last night, and it was so yummy! My oldest son has been requesting pumpkin desserts, like pie, cheesecakes...so I told him I'd make him pumpkin cake. The kids absolutely love it. It tastes a lot like carrot cake really. Very good stuff though! We even ate some for breakfast this morning.

 

You ever made pumkin pie from scratch HCM?
I have yet to tackle it, but it's my favorite dessert.

 

HCM, i'm jealous, i want some pumpkin cake and pie and all those goodies

 

Well, I make it, but I use the canned pumpkin, so I don't know if that would be considered from scratch.

 

Awww, well if you lived closer, you could have some. There's plenty here! The recipe made quite a bit!

 

Anyone with food in their fridge is fine by me.

 

Hey, if you made it, I'd eat it. Mmm! Gotta have cool whip or ice cream on top though.

 

I make my own whipped cream, I even flavor it with a little cinnamon and nutmeg for on things like pumpkin pie. It's really good, and actually super easy to make! Got to love my stand mixer, that's for sure. It makes things so easy to do! One of my favorite kitchen appliances!

 

Ok, overload! That just sounds unreal! I love to cook, but haven't done much dessert food.

I'm pretty big into baking! I inherited that from my mother. When I was growing up, she was always baking. She even took orders for decorated cakes. She was really good.

I've actually tossed around the idea of someday getting into doing something like that myself.

 

It's so easy to do. I just recently, within the past year, started making my own. If I had known how easy it was before, I would have done it a long time ago!
