I went to Olive Garden today(barefoot of course and with no probelms belive it or not) to meet up with some fellow Unitarians from my church for a memeber's birthday lunch when an older lady invited me to go get a pedicure with her to keep my feet looking "shiney" since i dont like to wear shoes (she offerd and i thought, i guess thatll be alright i guess) ...it wasnt bad at all and there still "shiney"..lol, even after going to the movies and Subway resturant...i may actually do it again somewhere down the road.

PS- and NO i didnt get my toe-nails painted..lol

It's all fine, but I'm sure I'd feel self-conscious presenting dirty 'street' feet to be clipped and buffed. I would feel uncomfortable unless I'd washed them first.
Perhaps your feet were clean, I suppose it depends where you'd been first :)

No harm in going im sure. its great being barefoot and there is also no harm treating your feet. Its a beauty therapist job to make ppl feel the best about their body. Im thrilled that they made you feel comfortable.

I think it's funny (or maybe sad) that im not uncomfroable going out in public barefoot at all but i would feel beyond weird if people walked by and saw me getting my feet treated..LOL...luckly for me it was a store inside of a shopping center where people couldnt just "walk by" as you were getting a pedicure...Im gald i did it though :D

I've had several pedicures through the years and long before other men starting getting them. It takes some guts to go into a salon knowing you are the only guy getting your feet treated! Men of all ages wear flip flops nowadays, so I see nothing wrong in having your nails trimmed and the extra calloused skin removed by some attractive lady. BTW, I too don't go for any polished nails either. I seen painted nails on some male feet, just not my thing.

I only had a pedicure once, and I'm a girl. I didn't really enjoy it, but I'm sort of ticklish so the buffing and whatnot was mostly just irritating. I prefer foot massages!

I don't think it's weird for guys to get pedicures, though. I see it all over nowadays with "gender roles" becoming more loose.

Since deciding to go barefoot, in 2011, I've decided to regularly treat my feet to a pedicure during summer months.

As a male, I don't think there's anything wrong in treating one's feet to a little TLC. They do, after all, carry us everywhere.

In fact, the therapists who treat my feet have all said, of all beauty treatments that they undertake, administering a pedicure is amongst the most satisfying, since the results of their work are immediately evident.
