Love this idea and newsletter for secular homeschoolers. http://www.secular-homeschooling.com/013/fiction.php I liked The Homeschool Liberation League by Lucy Frank. :bandana:
Our favorite is beestar. DD has been using it. The questions are problem-solving type, good to help kids thinking. Lisa
I was unschooled and here are some homeschool fiction that agreed with me growing up: Star Girl: A love story about a Homeschooler who feeling lonely goes to highschool in rural arizona and brings her pure individual insight to the school. Truly a free spirit. This book is a drama not comedy and very truthful. Skellig: About a boy and girl who meet--one of them is raised by Blake loving parents. This is a dark yet captivating story centered around death. Surviving the Applewhites: More for the 10-13 year old age range but I think I read it when I was 15 or 16 and liked it. Its about an eccentric family of homeschoolers converting a troubled rebellious teenager to their quirky ways.
