Sounds like a horrible idea, right? Normally this is not an option, or if it is, it comes with a huge risk. So how many of you take that risk anyway? What would happen if you got caught, and would it be worth it? I have a job that I can not only smoke without worrying about being fired, but it's accpeted, and encouraged because I perform better. I am more interested in what's going on and I am calm enough to plan everything out without getting stressed! My boss is fully aware that I smoke ganja and chats with me about it all the time even though she doesn't smoke herself anymore. It's quite refreshing! But I am sure that if it came with any risk at all, if I had to pass a drug test, or if it would be dangerous (woking with machines or bodies or something) that I would wait until I clocked out to hit it up.
When I was like 17 and worked in retail, I would smoke a bowl before work and then quickly realized what a waste it was, a waste of bud and a waste of a high.. My day would go slow as shit and i would want to be doing something else..I just found it such a waste.. and then there are other reasons but im not going to go into it cause i did in another thread... Id rather be in my home relaxing and enjoying..
yeah i know what your talkin about i answer phones for a grocery store complaint center and i pretty much do nothing all day but try to find something to do online and i have to come to work to get my sacks anyway since my supply person works with me.....i work better when i smoke too. its hard for me to listen to people complain all day without it.
see, I never would have thought it would help me out, but it does. My day goes slower when I'm sober from 6-5. It's nice to leave for 1/2 an hour to break up the day. Not that I didn't know your take on it already, Kayla.
I smoke a blunt on the way in to work. From then til lunch I might take a little break to puff on a bowl or some roaches. Then, on my lunch I usually smoke another blunt, sometimes only roaches again though. When I get out I either smoke one on the way home, or go out and do the nightly hustling. After that I am free to smoke a few more gorilla fingers and call it a day.
Ehhh I have a pretty serious job, but everybody here is laid back. Mostly everybody on my team knows I blaze, but I'm not sure they realize how often, and that it is a constant thing. One time I was on my lunch break chilling with my friend and she's all like come on blaze up blaze up and I had no phillies left, only papers. I normally don't smoke j's during the work week because they make you stink, and the stench is hard to get off. But, I just blazed up two nice j's anyways then came to work. As soon as I got in, the President of the company hands me my check, and apparently (my co-worker noticed and told me) the president looked pretty pissed off cause of the smell. He never said anything to me though. The only time I ever got popped by pigs was on my lunchbreak smoking a bowl in the parking lot next store. I imagine if my boss or the ceo or the president saw me in the act whileI was supposed to be working I'd lose my job.
'depends what you do for work I guess, and how you handle it. I used to all the time whan I was younger and I had less responsibility, plus it makes a crappy job so much easier to cope with, 'gets you through the day. Now that I've got a "think job", I can't really function, so I hold off till after work.
I don't really have a crappy job. Just a boring paperwork job. I like what I do, but it's not that challenging. Responsibilty on the other hand- If I screw up I could cost us the business.

I don't think so. I think it would depend on the job. I hated working at Wendy's becuase I had night shifts and I always went in after I had smoked that day. I felt tired and crabby. I couldn't enjoy it even if I smoked right before work and went in blazed. It was a waste back then and I chose not to do it a lot. But just sitting in my chair waiting for the phone to ring.. well, I can't help but want to leave for a few minutes.
When working at a department store, it was cool to be high. Not now though, and it wouldn't be fun, the paranoia and all. After a stressful day when geting home its nice to relax
I'd never do it (irresponsible usage, both in my eyes, and in the sense that it is not going to help the legalization cause...and yeah, it would be a waste of a high, my job sucks). But if I did, and got caught...well, it depends on who catches me, haha. Some of my coworkers smoke and wouldn't care (in fact, some come in stoned occasionally). One of my managers smokes, and has told me she came to work stoned once long ago before she was a manager. I don't know if it would piss her off or not, because she is a good manager and is accountable, but also is a fellow stoner. The other managers would probably fire me though. They're cool, but I know they wouldn't be cool with this. It'd be like coming in drunk. But if my work started drug testing, at least half the staff would get fired for smoking weed. Seriously, even with the sort of high turnover rate, it seems to maintain a healthy supply of stoners.
well hte only reason i didnt like working stoned at my last job was caus i couldnt remember what people had ordered, or what money they had given me (gettin change). but everythign else was great. ANYTHING that i do just by myself, if infintely better while stoned for me. nothings boring except mathematical-type tasks so that means most tasts are great. cleaning... normally its shit.. but i LOVED mopping the floor while stoned ahaha so fun! fuck relaxing at home,. i wanna be high and earn money at the same time. its not irresponsible in any way unless you fuck up your shit. i never fucked up, all my problems sorted themselves out. so thats coo. i wanna work somewhere thats not food industry tho.. it made me toooo hungry, and i didnt like working at the till. bu yeh i could do like boring monotonous tasts all day if stoned, i can always find something interesting. so yeh its the boring jobs that i recon are best while stoned caus you dont have to think about your job you can think about all the other whack shit thats goin on ahah
my boss knows i smoke weed... everyone at work knows i smoke weed..... they dont really care..... i usually dont goto work high just out of respect for my boss and i become a space cadet at work usually when im stoned..... hes a cool guy and would prefer that i didnt come to work stoned or get stoned at work.... but there are days when shit gets hectic and i need a quick hitter... so i run off and get high.... if he sees me high he doesnt say anything usually..... sometimes he cracks a little joke or two but nothing about how hes mad about it..... me and my boss talk about my weed habbit a bit.... once he told me... "yea you like your pot as much as i like my liquor" and i turned around from my desk and said "if you liked your liquor as much as i like my pot, you'd be an alcoholic" and he laughed... he'll even be like.... "clock out... go have a drink.... go home and smoke a few... and come back for the meeting at such and such a time".... its great..
When my mother was off work for messing her hand up. I would smoke at work cause when she was off I could not really smoke at home. I work for a cleaning place. I start at 5:00 pm. its cool cause when I get done with my job sometimes I will smoke. Cause everyone has gone home when I get done. I will smoke and walk around with a feather duster in my hade and act like I am dusting shit. That’s in case my boss comes over. So I can walk around and go to the vending machine and, eat some munchies food and act like I am working. Its great. But there is a police station right down the street and cops are all up and down the road pulling people over for speeding. I don't smoke at work all the time cause of the cops. But when I do smoke at work its nice cause all the people are gone and I clean up stairs and I don’t work with people when I am up stairs. So I can goof off with my little feather duster. So in my thought it works out for me, but it depends what kind of job you have
I cannot do it at work, it goes soo.... slow... Uggh, I am on the phone all day and it makes the hours creep by. Plus I don't do it at work as like a courtesy to the others I work with. I have dreads and I am young compaired to the people I am around at work, so I don't want them assuming I am just some dumb pot head, which I am after work. You know I need all of the help I can get. So I guess the main reason I don't do it at work is the whole responsibilty thing, if I can't actually be responsible I want to look like I can be. It is work and I work at an office. Now if I worked outside it would be a different story.
