Sounds like a great idea. I would do the same if I didn't have to go to sleep 40 minutes ago.

I will listen to it at work tomorrow though, while I get high off pesticides and fertilizers. I worship them like God.

It was from a video I saw on YouTube or Google a while back. I think it was from an interview he did. I tried looking for it but someone must have taken it down. Anyway, Buk was talking about how he hated pot and how it makes people act.

 

Is this your life testament? Not everyone abuses marijuana.
Oh and for the record, I do have it figured out. Not everyone's "it" is the same, though. Life is as simple as you make it.
I'll never have any kids that I do not want. That's a stupid observation. If everyone you know or 'know of' has not wanted the kids they've had, perhaps you should meet and get to know more people. That's pretty low.

he seemed to go back and forth on that. I know he got smoked pot sporadically in the 60's and 70's, or at least Chinaski did.

 

this was in the early 80's when my parents were living in Soho, and one morning my father goes downstairs to the bodega on the corner and encounters David Byrne staring at the potato chip rack, as though in a trance. my dad had been a big Talking Heads fan and started talking to Byrne and told him he admired his music, and that was that.
anyway, 2 months later my dad's listening to the radio and Byrne is being interviewed, and when asked if the Talking Head's recent fame had affected his life at all, Byrne said something to the effect of "not really, I just wish I could walk into a store and try to decide what kind of chips I want without some stranger bothering me".

there are brilliant people doing wonderful things for YOU and for SOCIETY who DO smoke pot....

I find people who spew BS like this have likely never smoked themselves. And then I just feel sorry for them, because it's a nice experience.

Walk a day in my shoes. Live with years of insomnia. When I find something that works, something I can (and have) just put down and walk away from, then goddammit, I'm going to use it. I can sleep now and I don't spend my whole life in a panic attack and it's because of weed. If you have a problem with it, then fuck you. I've found something that works for me, and I'm still a highly functioning member of society. I work upwards of 40 hours a week, pay bills, pay taxes, and regularly contribute to the economy. So take your generalizations and shove them up your hoity-toity self-righteous ass. And learn what threads are appropriate for which forums.

I've yet to meet someone that smokes pot only to be cool. Everyone has their own reasons, and apparently, to them, its better than NOT smoking weed... so they do. Its that simple.

I'd rather smoke weed and enjoy my life, instead of being an uptight asshole like yourself.
Unfortunately, I've had to stop. I have to save up for an Ipod these days. Ask me if it was hard to put the pipe down for a while

You have no idea of what the pot-smoker's life consists of, nor of the joys of smoking pot. I'm quite fine with that, but don't go shoving around preachy bullshit about a lifestyle you've never led before. I would take a word on the dangers of meth from a recovering tweaker, not a D.A.R.E. officer. I would take the word of a recovering pothead too, but I can't find any, wonder why.
