I realized my poems have changed the older I get so I figured I can share one of another time. A poem that should make you smile somewhere inside at some point. Again, all thoughts/comments are welcome, replies are greatful. I am about to take you on a journey, A nice relaxing, peaceful happinesss, a Zen feeling. There are nice blue skies, sunshine, and warm weather Your mind flies over open water as dolphins jump below The water is crystal blue and waves crash along the seashore Beaches of white sand travel as far as the eyes can see Once you thought this was paradise, but were happily mistaken Your on the port side of a cruise ship watching as you dock As you exit the ship you hear soothing sounds of pure reggae You come upon the beach and are about to embark on a snorkeling journey Swimming through blue waters your eyes open up to a new world The most beautiful tropical fish swim around without fear All you hear is your breathing and the sound of the ocean You head back to shore and lay out beneath the sun Taking in some of the warmth of sun rays that have been given Taking away all the worries you've once had Your nice and calm now, ready to take on your next adventure You head back to ship allowing the breeze to hit your face Smelling the sea air wanting the time to never end So it doesn't, you take in a few shows for laughs and drinks It dawns upon midnight and hit the midnight buffet You become sleepy and head back to your cabin As your about to change you notice your p.j.'s are lying on your bed They are formed into a little man with sunglasses on his head You put them on and crawl into bed, nice and relaxed As your about to fall asleep you smile because tomorrow is just the same c. 2000
