The smell of wet grass in the summer in the park across the street from my house. Father smoked pipes--the smell of pipe smoke. The smell of old books reminds me of childhood also
The smell of seaweed reminds me of Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight, I tried as a young girl to walk to Ryde, nor realizing there was blue slipper and I would sink.
No Candy darlin', like I said - its ancient (like I am !!!) I remember going to a barber shop more than 60 odd years ago and after the barber had cut my hair - he sprinkled some Bay Rum on my scalp and rubbed it in.
In 1964 I had my first serious date with an attractive young woman I had known for several years. She wore a perfume, Woodhue by Fabrege and was it great!!! After a make-out session and lots of hand holding (she also had hand lotion of the same scent) I dropped her off at her house. On the way home I discovered she had left some of the scent lingering on my hands, I must confess I couldn’t resist toking the scent several times on the way home. We are headed for our 54th anniversary this year.
To duplicate the aroma of a paper mill, place a had of green cabbage in a plastic bag and leave it in the hot sun for a week. A paper mill can be smelled miles away.
