Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses under fire again after latest incident — but how much privacy can you really expect? This is a growing concern. Already, the cops are confiscating people's cellphones and cameras at protests, while these glasses are probably the future for everyone. Likewise, people are flying drones all over the place, and modern technology is making privacy altogether impossible, with technology such as terahertz flashlights that can look right through your walls and clothing. Note that the Chinese government will no doubt attempt to control the distribution of such technology, and the US is certain to go insane, along with all their AI.
What I know about Meta-glasses is they are useful for blind people. But other than, I'm not quite sure.
The technology has endless uses, but when you can't tell who is recording you it forces even billionaires to rethink everything.
Smart glasses in a purportedly safe space I went to a spa for a Brazilian wax — but I was shocked by what the worker was wearing
People are mindless panicky cattle, and expecting them to behave differently than chickens is a huge mistake. In fact, there's a rather large library of literature covering what is known in the industry as the Motel Syndrome, which applies to anything, just as human dimensions apply to any building. One in a hundred will totally trash out the motel room, making it unusable in the middle of the tourist season, but only if the room had minor scratches in the paint and furniture. If it looked immaculate, they would never trash it out. So, hotels and everyone nowadays, accommodates the fact people are complete idiots, and will even stampede and kill each other.
Oh, I'm sure they collect your data. They do this with Meta Quest VR headset, and of course, cellphones.
Their AI can collect everyone's data faster than anyone alive, and can sell it to the highest bidder. Wall Street might never be the same again, when their own machines start calling them all liars.
Never underestimate the stupidity of the american people. Paint some turds nice pretty colors and voila----$ 14. 95 and you too can have the latest before your neighbors!!!
I don't know if Meta sells (or shares) their data to anyone. But, they sure collect them. Even the specifications and details of the room you use when you're using your Meta Quest VR headset and the video, audio and pictures you take with the device, and the amount of time you spend using the device.
What use could they possibly have for all of those "behavioral surplus" they are harvesting. Okay, so, they can predict an internet user's behavior in the future. But what of that? What could they gain out of predicting someone's future behavior? Control over the individual, maybe? The concept of outside world, that is, the modern society we live in now, as a "bigger prison," --they used to call it-- is nothing new: it's just, now, somehow more hi-tech and advance. The scary thing to consider, for me, is, what if they're using this to prevent us from being employed, or getting accepted to schools and university... because of something like political conviction, religious beliefs or what-not. Because, A.I. is not perfect [A.I. mirrors its creator/developers/programmer's prejudices and beliefs, like Elon Musk's Chatbot] and can make mistakes; and can cause social discriminations. Another scary thought, for me, is when they start using it, not only to predict our habits and thoughts, but, to manipulate our thoughts; to feed our minds thoughts that is not our own, in order to manipulate our behavior in accordance to the wishes and will of those who is in-command of this new technologies. That's mind-control. That Cambridge Analytica by Chris Wylie. Well, as long as we keep being spontaneous, I guess, we will be hard to manipulate or control. Be yourself; think for yourself; question everyone and everything: including yourself [your own belief-system]!
Already, academics around the world are lamenting the lowbrow state of humanity. A humanities professor once confided to me, that all their research indicated the problem is, their own students are too stupid. Explaining Why VR and AI Are The Future! Because their never was any intelligent life around here!
Wenn it comes to your own data(internet)............you should be in more control(read the fineprint, wenn you agree to something?).................big tech is making big money of it, selling it...... Or it gets stolen..........Scammers/frauds...........Hackers Mzzls
