i dunno. i think sleeping on them actually helps 'em dread...cuz the back of my head is more well-dreaded, so to speak, and it happens to be the side i sleep on as well. whatever floats your boat, though :cheers2:
haha its kinda like the opposite for us then. just try a bunch of different things until you find something you think works better than the others.
I just sleep. I used to try to sleep with a hat but every morning I would wake up with it off. And the very few times it stayed on, my dreads would lay really weird all day. I just sleep how I sleep. It might cause a few more loose hairs here and there in the beginning, but I think it pays off much more because all that tossing and turning really knots the hair up.
when they are young, like before they are even formed they could flatten and stuff and congo more than you want to. although now mine are a little older i sleep with them up or down and there isn't much difference. they are a little messy when i wake up if they are down but it fixes itself.
The developing locks are easiest to sleep with, because they are less mature and therefor easier to take advantage of.
when i wake up , the only thing i hate is that my dreads im sleeping on are all flattened. any tips???
i never slept with anything i just let it do its work....the ones on the back formed by themselves and they are some of my favorite dreads
I sleep with them free, I just shower or jump in the pool when i wake up...gets the flats out instantly for me.
