This is one of my favorite independent films of all time. It's from 1991 and was directed by Richard Linklater. It was filmed entirely in Austin, Texas. The movie basically has no plot, and is a collection of various scenes centered around various characters who are misfits and in some way unique, weird, or just have really strange ideas. I like the movie not only because it's weird, but because I like the way it was filmed, and how it takes me back to that time in the early 90s when I was still a young kid. I am reminded of how things looked back then, the way people dressed, talked, etc. The film just evokes strong feelings of nostalgia in me. From Wikipedia: Slacker is a 1991 American independent comedy-drama film written and directed by Richard Linklater, who also appears in the film. Slacker was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize - Dramatic at the Sundance Film Festival in 1991. In 2012, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" Here is the full movie on YouTube. Highly recommended if you have not seen it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB4xlYKAVCQ"]Slacker - YouTube
