Skype Allows Police to Monitor Chats

    Just in case you didn't already know...

    Skype, which was purchased by Microsoft late last year, is now going to turn over user data to police and allow them to monitor chats in real time. In fact, the police have already had this access since then. The data they will hand over includes credit card info, addresses, and of course IP#s.

    Well, as it says it's for drug lords, pedophiles and terrorists. I'm sure if you tell your buddy you just smoked a joint you wont have a swat team busting down your door so, 1. who cares and 2. Skyping is fucking lame anyway.

    That's true. Suppose its what we get for voting for democracy, well our ancestors doing so anyway. If only there was a 'no one' option on a voting slip.

    i know all the "hey thats BS and a violation of my privacy" arguments but i just gotta say i would love that job. sit there and watch skype and tell your fellow officer who is breaking what laws.
    btw thats why everything i ever wrote online is completely fabricated, i live a completely moral and legal lifestyle even if i say i would do something illegal i would never ever really do it. you know its all just online talk.
