Indeed, i'd do everything i could too, but getting my ass handed to me and raped on top of that seems foolish, rape isn't about sex anyway...

I don't think I have ever heard someone say they wouldn't fight off someone who was raping them!

No, it isn't about sex, but that doesn't mean you should let them

So you won't fight them, yet won't let them?

    Now I'm confused.

I don't know. I really don't understand the dynamics of rape...

On the one hand, the guy would have to be erect, so...actual penetration would not be an easy thing to pull off, even if the victim is way weaker.

And then, I imagine, even if the victim is intimidated into submission, she/he would at least try to squirm off and get a couple smacks in the face or something...

So, NO physical violence whatsoever sounds illogical to me, and almost like one of those rape a posteriori cases, when you decide afterward that you really didn't like the experience too much...or realize that you had sex not to disappoint your partner.

The one rape victim that I knew, said she physically fought the dude for literally 1 hour and a half, before penetration. Therefore, I still don't know how a jury in a court of law, could judge a verdict for forcible rape without any physical violence whatsoever.

Edit: The penetration could not go very smoothly either, and I would imagine there would be at least some bruising or bleeding.

i was almost raped, a guy had me up against a wall with his knee between my legs and was telling me he was gonna fuck me up if i started fighting, so i started screaming, i was lucky enough that others heard and came to help me, i did fight the best i could, talking a good fight is all well and good, but you really don't know how you would react in a situation like that until it happens..

Well, ok! It was attempted rape then! You can see why many cases of forcible rape would be dismissed, unless significant violence ensued. I guess that's why they say most rape cases occur between people who already know each other, because you would have to have the victim in isolation for an extended period of time.

Yup it was attempted, and i can understand why it would be hard to prosecute a rape case without a lot of evidence....

I rarely talk details about this, but as someone who fought hard, when I was being raped, and I was wearing jeans at the time, it is very possible. I have no idea if this man was innocent or not, but the fact that they used that as an defense , is extremely stupid. If an man is strong enough, and jeans dont take long to get off. I can not really stand this thread anymore, so I am not posting in it after this. It is too dang triggering to me. I shouldnt really go into these threads anymore . I am proud of myself though for not just ignoring the rape threads on here, bc I am getting stronger. I always jump to the womens defense, bc I have been raped more than once, and on those occasions, they got away with it. so that is why. maybe I am biased, and I can not help it.

I tend to think these media stories have no other object but to trigger shit off, while still leaving the reader uninformed.

Personally I don't buy the skinny jeans defense but commenting any further about a case that I know practically nothing about (beyond wardrobe details that the news saw fit to let me in on) would be falling in the trap of having my own opinion cultivated- perhaps potentially against people who choose to wear skinny jeans...?

Frankly I see it as further indictment of how the jury system is manipulated by creative "lawyering" regardless of what actually went on.

I don't care for what the article says, someone could threaten you and then you would take your own trousers off

however too many younger women are now crying rape, and it's just giving the powers that be a reason to try and see past the liars. This is just one attempt.

I have a friend who's girlfriend claimed her raped her at a party, and although everybody at that party knew he didn't and she was just angry with him, he still went to jail for 2 years.

By the end of his sentence this girl told people, who told the police, that he didn't rape her and it was a lie. They did nothing. It's girls like that silly bint who are putting a spanner in the works regarding these sorts of cases.

Swings and roundabouts i'm agraid. It's a dreadful act that is exploited by either sex.

Keep fighting the good fight, sister. I suppose it would be foolish to mention that men get raped all the time too...
