Ha, funny Christinabelle! I am from Montreal but I think there are quite a few of us here with that style hair. ;)

True, Basil. Maybe I'll put it up in a mohawk tomorrow. ;) And hello, fellow Montrealer! Whereabouts are you? I'm in the west end.

Funny, a mohawk was my last hairdo. :D Thank you for the warm welcome, I'm right smack in downtown.

I used to work downtown. I don't go down that way much anymore. Unless it's to Schwartz's. They're always worth the trip! I know I don't have to explain that one to you. :)

Absolutely not, Lucy. Schwartz's smoked meat is worth the trip, the best!

I'm going to have to make a trip down soon. It's been a while. I just stuck my head in the fridge to see if I had some smoked meat in the fridge for a little snack! Nothing.

You can buy their smoked meat in some grocery stores too but I've tried it and it's nowhere near the same, nothing like the real thing.

Not the same at all. You can't forego the waiting in line around the block for an hour and sitting scrunched between patrons! lol I swear it makes it taste better.

You're right, it's all part of the experience. It seems like the ruder the waiter, the better the sandwich tastes. ;)

lol Great marketing ploy. It's all part of a master plan. Not unlike Basil Fawlty in his hotel!

You're right, lol. Except in Basil's, I mean my case, it wasn't part of a master plan. The hotel was just a dump. :D

I could never understand how the hotel stayed open. It was the funniest concept for a show however. A crotchety old cuss in the hospitality business.

I have a bone to pick with you. I've been craving smoked meat for days! Hmm, I wonder if we're going too off topic here. We may have to start a Schwartz's thread!

I know, it was hilarious seeing Fawlty abuse his guests, complaining about "all the riff-raff we get in here", meanwhile he's worse than all of them!

Sorry about the smoked meat , that's always a danger when talking about food. I actually did have some on the weekend, but not Schwartz's. Still very good, there are a lot of great delis around if you need a quick fix. :D

What kind of dancing did she do? Was it burlesque/ ballet?

I love dance movies and musicals. Singing in the Rain is such a great classic. Anything with Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire is in my collection. I can watch them and immediately feel good.
