I came across this, immediately saw a post about Harmonsburg Farm commune in 1968 to which I was connected. I was entirely part of the whole hip gestalt in those days, it's like my native culture, but by early-mid 70s I had moved into other cultural contexts, mostly Spanish-speaking. So it's been half a century since I've been "one" with the counter-culture. I still look like a hippy, apparently. Rednecks think I'm a hippy, hippies think I'm a redneck, actually I'm a Mexicanized hillbilly preppy hip loner... but fortunately have another loner with me. She was at Oz. Before I was this old, I was a bilingual school teacher and organic farmer. We're old and socially do no longer exist, really. And we have "different" brains, so don't expect normalcy!
Hipforums is the place where lots of old folk congregate. Many are loners, having lost friends and loved ones along the road. So welcome home!
