Sierra is a beautiful, lovely, true barefooter girl from Canada. She HATES shoes with passion, and she only wears them to work. She can even run and jump barefoot on a sharp gravel trail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3L9hp8uHkRg"]YouTube - Dare - Running Barefoot on Gravel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjK1SBDIdEE&feature=related"]https://www.youtube.com/wa...IdEE&feature=related And she's writing a diary about her day to day barefoot life: http://www.city-feet.com/board/868/1/20/list http://forum.city-feet.com/index.php/showtopic.2482 http://forum.city-feet.com/index.php/showtopic.2483 http://forum.city-feet.com/index.php/showtopic.2484 http://forum.city-feet.com/index.php/showtopic.2486 http://forum.city-feet.com/index.php/showtopic.2489 Isn't she great? [Isn't she great? What do you think?[/QUOTE] I think it's likely a "come-on" to have people sign up for the quite expensive City-Feet site. In short, I think it's possibly a fraud.
I admit I would not run barefoot on gravel. Actually, I would not run period unless chased by police. I would hang out barefoot at an outdoor bar, gravel or not. Does that count?
I have had to get used to gravel paths as i spend most weekends working on them. I also go on local organized walks which are at least part gravel, and i like to show off by running on it, digging in my toes and flicking stones up into the air. Childish, i know, but it impresses the shoddies!
The piece may indeed be posted as a promotional sample for the City-Feet site. The site owner has to pay for the computer gear and website, invests his/her time to develop, maintain and update it. If models are hired, they must be paid. It is not unfair to charge a fee and no one is under any obligation to join. If you believe the site is expensive, that is your opinion to which you are entitled. There is no fraud here. We should be thankful to sites like Hip Forums which are free of charge. I am not connected to CF in any way.
Going barefoot is comfortable, but there are times when you want to glam up, dress to the nine's and go in style. I LOVE my six inch Gucci stiletto heels, can dance on gravel, city subway gratings and icy pavement:sunny:
not to kill your enthusiasm, but most of us can do such things as running or even skidding for fun on thick gravel . it's definitely within the realm of human possibilities.
