ok, i havent tripped in years, and i have only taken shrooms once (well twice but the secound time didnt really count) my question is this, people say fear can turn a trip bad and to try and stay calm and relaxed, so i want to know is xanax and shrooms a safe combo?
it would probably be fine. it would probably dull you down though, so that you cant have the same fun or intense experiences
nah, you need a script. and over here, you need a special authorisation because of the recreational popularity (as opposed to valium or somethin)
Personally man, I wouldn't consider taking anything else with shrooms. I think it would just sully the experience. It's all about your mood, with shrooms. If you enter it with a good mindframe, you'll have a good trip. If you enter it with a bad minset, you'll have a bad trip. I've done shrooms countless times, and never once yet, have I had a bad trip. And I'm always feelin groovy, before I take them. If you're in a shit mood, don't take shrooms. Wait until you can chill out and be relaxed, in a safe and easy going environment. You should be fine.
Very well put.....xanax would definetly dull down your experiance.....its just like what they do at hospitals for people who are brought in for tripping to hard.....they give pyschedelic OD'ers Valium.... Psychedelics are dulled down by xanax and coke and even drinking (though beer tastes horrible when tripping) The only things I would do along with shrooms.....is herb.....or any other psychedelic......
Yeah, I agree. Herb goes well with shrooms, for sure. I've had beer a few times while doing it, but only had two or three, and it didn't seem to affect it too much, but I'd still just stick to plain old shrooms and weed for a good experience.
if you're worried about fear and anxiety, herb is not something you want to be smoking during a trip. weed clouds your mental filter and makes things even MORE exaggerated than they already are. you will further lose your grip. i recommend tripping on the drug itself with nothing else. herb is excellent, however, for when you're coming down and want a boost. if you're worried about having an adverse reaction during the trip, you could keep some xanax nearby. caution, though, as it WILL bring you down and will likely kill off many of the visuals.
I've did shrooms a couple times and one time was with a buddy that was coming off of a coke binge or w/e, i dont mess with the stuff, but he said it was the worse mix EVER. I highly do not recomend that.
