Okay, so basically I started out with fairly long hair, it was about mid back-ish?, and every time I wash my hair (about every 2 days, cause that's what makes me happiest) it shrinks up another inch or so, I'm basically at short chin length bob now. I'm just curious if there's any estimates on how long this shrinking process will last and if anyone else had their dreads shrink up so much. any input would be lovely I'll look into putting some pictures up at some point.
An inch every wash? Well at that rate i'm pretty sure your shrinkage will not go on for months, and if it does i'm sure you'll soon see a lot less shrinkage after washes soon I wouldn't worry about it too much though, if they are shrinking fast then they are also maturing fast
Check out my album here. My hair shrunk A LOT in the first 6 months and continued and still is shrinking a little after a year. I am really wanted some growth but seems my hair is only good at shrinking
my hair grew for the first year and is now shrinking like mad! I started out with shoulder length and my hair is now chin length. So to answer your question I dunno...lol. Just thought Id share. Were in the same boat.
I Suffer From A Major Shrinkage Problem Too, But It's Not My Locks That Shrink, And It Only Occurs During The Colder Months.... Cheers Glen.
haha, thanks for all the responses guys, even the one's about "other" kinds of shrinkage lol. glad to know we all experience crazy shrinkage and am also glad to know that shrinkage = dread workage haha.
