hey everyone, do you think there is any way we could get a show trading forum set-up on this site? i know there are plenty of sites for that already, but it would be cool to get this scene into it as well, lots of different people with eclectic musical tastes! So if anyone wants to respond to this and add what shows they may have, maybe we can generate some interest and start trading! I have: * lots of bonnaroo '03 and '04 shows including - antibalas afrobeat orchestra, yonder mountain string band (both years), jack johnson, ben harper, neil young & crazy horse, the new deal, galactic, the dead, wilco, string cheese incident, gov't mule, moe. I will make this a sticky. Post your list and requirements here. NO ADDRESSES! PM each other to hook up.
I trade lossless (shn, flac)....check out my list at http://db.etree.org/shns.siltop I'm also willing to do B&Ps for anyone that wants some shows since I'm not so heavily into trading at the moment...
I have a fair amount of Dead, Grateful and otherwise, and am always looking for more...I also have some Widespread Panic, some Trey, and some Dave & Tim...feel free to send a PM
damn, have you all heard moe. tsunami relief show yet? 2/10/05 at the roseland ballroom, it is just amazing! guest stars like trey anastasio, john medeski, and sam bush, plus just plain moe. at their best! you guys need to hear this if you havn't, so either download it somewhere or else i will trade it to you for something, but just get it somehow!
hey bro, it's pretty much what it sounds like we trade live shows on CD (from bands that allow taping). see a sick show in your home town? someone probably taped it! someone probably has a copy you could snag just another piece of advice...if you are new and don't have any shows to trade, lots of folks are willing to do "B&P's" which is a "Blank & Postage." If you send some blank CDs and the return postage folks will often copy any show you want and send it back. if you're interested, check out my website and see if you like any of the bands. i'll gladly give B&Ps to anyone who wants em.
oh, and yes, that tsunami benefit show is damn good. if anyone wants to DL it from the archive, it's listed as a moe. show (2-10-05 i think)
archive.org has tons of shows from bands that allow taping. the files might be in shn or flac format but you can convert them to mp3 with the right programs
