It doesn’t matter. The senate won’t convict and either way he’ll be re-elected. The democrats are immolating themselves.
It's a fools errand to be sure. A far better case was used on Clinton. But like any impeachment, it was a complete waste of time and money. Money that went into the pockets of lawyers. What was weird this time around is that calls for impeaching Trump took off right as he was inaugurated, before he had time to do anything beyond ordering new drapes. I mean like right out of the gate this impeachment bullshit started. I get it that Trump humiliated a LOT of people during 2016. He really laid waste to the republicans, it was a joy to watch. I never considered Trump to be a republican before. Apparently few republicans saw him that way either. All that hob-knobbing with democrats, supporting liberal causes and receiving accolades from various minority groups. But it dawned on me that he was just being systematic. He saw his way of life threatened and in the crosshairs of the traditional tax and spend democrats and the greedy republican "royal" families. To have any chance in the election he had to pick one of the two. A third party run would have likely failed. He needed to get all of them up on stage and badger them into submission or ruin. The republicans, with their propped up (and very diverse) field of too many candidates became the obvious first target. If he took them out, he'd only have to beat 1 democrat; Hillary (it was her "turn" after all). And it all worked brilliantly. Most of Washington was in shock as they watched a grifter take the throne. It was good to see "Jeb" Bush get taken apart, he'd have been a useless puppet in the white house. He also proved how thin Rubio and Cruz were. While I'm not really a fan of Trump, I didn't want to see the Clintons back in the top seat. I'd have voted for Fiorina before casting in Hillary's direction. And I would only have voted for Hillary if her opponent was an illegal alien (from space)!
I didn’t like the impeachment of Clinton either. It’s like congress taking away the power from the voters. It should be only used in circumstances of obvious and egregious acts. Otherwise let the people decide to re-elect or to dump,
Not as dangerous as they are. I simply understand the mindset of those who disagree with me. Each person is of course an individual. It's not really a conspiracy. It's something the FBI and military are concerned over. It's something some discussed should he not win in 2016. And also something that Trump has openly supported since it's the fake media and rigged system attacking him. You are ignoring the realities of the world if you don't see some of his supporters willing to go that level at this point. You do not see history or the current events around you.
There are at least ten cases of obstruction of justice detailed in the Mueller report. Now we have a clear case of Ethnic Intimidation by Trump, against 4 women of non-white ethnicities. Many states -like Colorado- have Ethnic Intimidation laws. I'm not sure about the Federal Laws on this, but the civil rights laws of America are on the books. Trump who only a few weeks ago told the press his father had been born in Germany, is now telling others to go back to where they came from. Canadian public records show the Trump family owned a Brothel in Canada. Maybe it would cost less in travel expenses if he returns to that place.
The problem with "ethnic intimidation" is that it's exclusively a state crime, and under current law it must (1) cause unwanted physical contact with another person, (2) damage or destroy property, or (3) reasonably threaten to do either of those things. Federal hate crime jurisdiction is limited to specific protected activities like voting, attending public school, or jury duty. Harassment is also a state crime and requires interference with normal work or movement. Arguably, Trump put the women in question at risk by singling them out for special condemnation. Of course, the "high crimes or misdemeanors" required for federal impeachment is undefined, so Congress could probably get by with it. Gerald Ford said it meant whatever could muster a majority vote in the House of Representatives. (Nixon said it had to be an indictable offense and Clinton said it had to be germane to the President's official duties (as opposed to extracurricular activities).
So right, Okie! Senator Tim Kain today was saying EEOC laws were broken by Trump and the four minority women are employees of the US government. Trump is the Head Honcho, so a valid case may be there in the administrative details. I'm just a truck driver and happen to think Trump is a bigot.
Well it seems that Mew-ler was a dream killer today. He looked like he either needed a drink, or had taken way too many ambiens, It was a pathetic performance that didn't advance the agenda a millimeter. NPR was hilarious this afternoon badgering their guests on the "but it didn't exonerate Trump" nonsense. A hint: Americans are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. That doesn't mean feelings count. So all the childish "hate" for Trump has so far amounted to very little and doesn't look to be bearing fruit any time soon. But I'm sure "Peaches" Waters will keep up the hateful rhetoric toward Trump and the republicans. Gotta admire her tenacity I guess.
Impeaching a Neo-Nazi president for racism, when he leads a lily white republican party led in turn by KKK members, should prove interesting if nothing else. Perhaps the lawyers will argue that past a certain point, racism is the law, or you get lynched. Majority rule is the foundation of any democracy, and without the right to lynch people its just not democratic.
Impeachment won't happen, Democrats are just foolish, and seeing the reality: America is historically the most greatest economy since this President is in office, jobs are booming, so is Wall Street, so why would you impeach that great President?...because of his success?... to see the left back on power enslaving you with taxes and policies resulting of you losing your freedom, and unemployment rising again to the roof(just like before) I admit that his way of talking are a little brutal sometime, but hey...Results are there...Those guys from left who preach about socialism are the most Capitalists people(they have never enough of others money) Copying Europe is more than a bad idea, it's a great danger...
America pays for half the costs of NATO and the UN, and if we withdrew from either one the EU would be invaded by the entire middle east and Russia. Libertarians can bitch all they want about small government, but its empire baby, and Libertarians are such idiots its illegal to vote for Mickey Mouse in Maryland. Britain may have ruled the waves, but we rule the entire planet and the moon to boot. Fifty years after we stopped bothering to go to the moon, and nobody else has done it yet.
