Should I start my dreads again? :(

So, today I found that my 2 year old dreads are FULL of build up and some questionable lint (more likely mold). Is it worth it to try and treat them with ACV and baking soda at this point? They are full with the stuff.
On the other hand, my dreads have only just gotten to a point where I actually love the way they look. It’d probably take another 2 years for me to like them again
What do you guys think? Have you guys had this problem before, or ever started a second set?

I started noticing the funky smell in mine and started doing mine along with the ACV and Baking Soda when my dreads stop smelling like the essential oils I use in my soaks.
