I made this one for my best friend. For myself. And my latest one.. It's extremely cliche...but whatever. =)
Dude... nifty!!! Is is screenprinting, painting, what? I'm totally digging the last one, however cliche it may be, hehe. Great work, sister
Thanks! =) Haha I really thought i'd get all these people telling me just how cliche it really was.. No, its not screenprinting, its just acrylic paint with some textile medium, and a stencil that I make and cut out Really easy stuff..
excuse me for sounding stupid but what is textile medium?is it something you mix with the fabric paint?
Yeah, you buy the paint and the textile medium seperate, and they're both usually in the same kind of bottle.. It's just a clear paint type thing that makes it not as stiff and it wont really come off after alot of washes..
Yeah.. I usually sell them to people here[in LA.] for $5, but thats only because I usually make them buy their own shirts.. Plus I'm saving up to buy an I-pod so i sorta upped the price.. Do you think Ten dollars plus the shirt is too much? I'm wayy to generous with people and for some odd reason, this seems so bad.. Haha
Thanks for telling me.I think I'm gonna try making a shirt myself and if it turns out bad I will take you up on your offer to buy one from you! Thanks again...peace
Woo.. Thats cool I hope it turns out good for you.. you can go to www.livejournal.com/~stencil_swap for tutorials and stuff..
no i don't think it is too much. you're puttin in the time and energy to do it and there gettin a cool personalized shirt! but i know what you mean about being to generous. i make jewelry and pillows and other little watnats and ive given so much of it away. im gonna set up a booth at an upcomin festival and hope to make at least little profit.
Yeah... I dunno I just feel so bad about charging that, you know what I mean? Its weird because i KNOW i shouldn't. Definitely too generous for our own good.
I sold jewelry all summer, and I gave away so much. I know how you feel about charging, I just can't bring myself to do it! how about $10 and a hemp necklace, and of course I'll pay shipping for a make love not war t-shirt? PM me
they're great! I make shirts too, and I no idea acryllic could be used.. this is gonna make things so much easier. I love you!
Yeah! Definitely. What do you use? I used to paint with my mom before I did shirts, and we had a ton of acrylic paint left over, so I just bought the textile medium and that saved a lot of money. But the textile medium makes all the difference...
Paix, I really want to take you up on your offer. But as of right now, I'm punished, so I'll talk to my mom and see if she'll even let me. I'm gunna also need to get you a shirt, so depending on the shirt, I MIGHT have to charge a bit more, but I doubt it. I'll talk more when I can get on the computer again!
