I'm learning how to make acorn flour, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips for getting the shells off the acorns quickly. I've tried using a nutcracker, but what ends up happening is the acorn splits in half and large parts of the shell remain stuck on the nut.

Anyway, any help would be much appreciated. :)

    Thanks,

you can soak them in water (two weeks to a month) till they split open.

deer in my yard eat them... shapeshift into a deer, spit out the corn after you get the shell off and then shapeshift back to being a human when you have enough flourable material

That's brilliant! I'm going to go try it right now ;)

Oh, and thanks, wyldwynd. I'll give it a shot.
