She does not listen(partners with animals)

My girlfriend has a Chihuahua dog and it sleeps in her room; the dog has its own bed but now it sleeps on her bed with her ... the past three months it has pissed on her bed 5 times (that I know about) I keep telling her the dog is marking her bed as her terrortory ...

I have been brought up with my uncles and dad as dog trainers and all the advice I give to her about getting the dog to stop this .. she completely ignores .. she treats the dog like a human-being(I have no problem with treating animals with respect .. however when its pissing on the bed .. things have to change)

So now her parents have caught her dog pissing on the bed ...(the dog also shit on the bed recently too) and her parents want the dog gone out of the house ...she still continues to defend the dog and treat it like a spoilt child ...

I explained to her that her entire family are upset with the way the dog is behaving and most likely .. if the dog does such a thing again .. they will get rid of it ..with or without her consent

My partner then continued to break down into tears(wtf .. over a dog pissing on her bed) and did not want to talk about it any longer ...

has anyone else been in a situation like this?

 

i have a situation like this but im the one with dogs and only one of them is a pisser and thats because i believe she has bladder control problems she has pissed on my bed once when i was out of the room so now i keep her in a crate thingy from the pet store when i leave the room but she has pissed in the house so many times its not funny

but i also had a dog one time that would tear the trash out idk where she went she just disappeared one day

I would recommend crate training for that dog

but if she doesn't want to then thats her decision but you need to talk to her about whats good for the dog not just her happiness of having the dog

 

tell her to get rid of a the rat and get a real dog lol jk
