    Shawnee Rainbow Gathering

Travel south from Harrisburg on Illinois Route 34/145 to
Mitchellsville and continue on Illinois Route 34 toward Eichorn. Just
before Eichorn turn west, traveling approximately 6 miles, on Forest
Service Route 126, a gravel road leading to Leisure City and across
the Grand Pierre Creek to One Horse Gap.

Shawnee Rainbow Gathering starts October 1st and runs until the 14th.

Clean up starts when you arrive.

If you need a ride go to the Kind Ride Share located at:

Is anyone heading here from Maryland or Virginia area? My boyfriend and I would really really like to attend, we have a car but not enough money for gas. If anyone needs a ride and can offer green energy or has a ride and needs green energy please contact us. We're in the DC area right now but we can find our way to you if you're not too far.

I missed Nationals this year, but went to Ocala last Feb.

Ocala wasnt anything like Nationals, not as many people, and not too much going on really.

How is Shawnee compared to Ocala?
Bout how many people or camps are at Shawnee right now?
Does Shawnee have good vibes like Nationals?

Thinkin bout hittin the road... someone talk to me.

    ~Peace Out~

it seems that any regional that happens in the same place and same time every year is plagued by alotta the same problems
theres only a few likethis but they seem to all have issues.
other regionals that happen just now and then and move around more have a much motre freindly feel, buyt compared to nationals theyre tiny..although this has an advantage too (when its not just agro a-campers that is) in being more intimate so u can really get to know folks better instead of only seeing them a few minutes a year
most regionals can be as tiny as 50 up to 1500 or so
but id guess most average atound 500+

if youve only gone to nationbals 1 of the stationary regionals wioll be a disapointment
but if u find any other regionalsd that happen only every few years then you'll probly really enjoy yourself and feel like you really had a chance to get close to your local family

it has been a great gathering all in all.the front gate was rough at first.it was lil hawks memorial after all,so it was to be expected.there is a jesus camp in the woods cooking good food, along with fat kidz.both are cooking great food.teatime of course is here and pumping out 100's of gallons of herbal teas daily.been plenty of druming and so on.hell we even had lone eagle and his crew down at teatime for an impromto drum circle in the teahouse of all places.this will be the last weekend so if you are coming out for more then just clean up,get here quickly.
    peace
