alright.. this feel so weird to be posting about, but, i dont really care.

alright, ive been pretty natural down there since... well forever... i mean, i shave the bikini line and i trim it, and if it gets insane, a SMALL amount of shaving... but i want to try the COMPLETELY bareness! lol i tried once, but i couldnt get it all.. waxing isnt really an option.. i have NOOOO money.. and i have a normal Venus razor... i was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions, like on how to do it, because, maybe you've gone through the same thing! thanks!

    THERE ive said it!

ummm... I would say be very careful when shaving, particularly when you're shaving right by your labia. Use a lot of soap/shaving cream, but make absolutely sure it's for sensitive skin, preferably unscented (scented products can cause yeast infections)

Go slow, try to soak your skin a little so it softens up. Make sure your razor is sharp. Go very very slow!

Warning, it may itch like mad when the hair grows back. It does for a lot of women.

Personally, I find that shaving completely makes me look too prepubescent... I like to leave a bit of a patch on the upper part of my pubic hair area. I hope you're doing this because you want to, not because you feel society/a partner is telling you to!

use a mirror, so you can see what you're doing.

sit in the bathtub with the shower running, go with the hair not against it. and if your gonna start then your gonna be more comfortable if you do it every few days

Trim with scissors first, or you will be in there forever, lol. i actually use conditioner instead of shaving cream or gel; it softens the hair a little bit. i have had major razor burn with shaving cream, but no problems yet with conditioner. When you're done, put some lotion on the bare area.

i agree with the sitting in the bathtub thing, start in indian style and put one leg over the side, it'll be easier for you to reach everything

I've done it, it itches when growing out. I don't recommend it. But, if you do it, do it for you.

hmm, the sitting on the bathtub edge ideas are good ones. I forgot that I've done that sometimes, when I have enough time.... I usually perche on the edge and have both feet in the tub, legs spread... a lot easier to access the area to be shaved than when standing.

i find that it doesn't itch unless i let it grow out for about a week. i personally don't use conditioner or shaving cream i find them to harsh and it doesn't bother me when i don't

I personally don't like either the look (I think I'd look like a little girl with no hair in my pubic region, shudder) or the itching, but I have only trimmed enough so it doens't look like a gorilla is living in my bathing suit.

I guess I'm an old hippie. Both my man and I like it natural. But whatever works for you, as long as it is ONLY for you. I don't think boys should be conditioned to expect it.

I'm Medeterranean and pretty furry. When I was a young thing, men/boys never expected naked pubes.

But as long as it makes you happy. (Damn doesn't it itch like hell?)

I have been shaving down there for years... I like the way it feels during sex. Also, my hair gets very, very, long and it feels much cleaner. I used to just trim with scissors, but I gave myself a serious gash with them, once. I've nicked myself shaving, but not yet as bad as that time with the scissors. LOL But, the razor burn has NEVER gone away. I cannot shave completely, because it is painful misery.

I have to leave a landing strip, because that area is just so sensitive and prone to bumps. But, I do shave underneath and up the sides. Still get razor burn up the sides and on my inner thighs, but never had it underneath. I cannot shave every day, or every other day, because I bleed and the razor burn just gets worse. I generally do it every 4 days to a week...

My bf turned me on to the purple Edge gel. It's for ultra-sensitve skin and it works better than anything I've ever used. I've never tried conditioner, will give that a go. I've used various soaps, gels, oils, lotions...

    Good luck.

oh i have been wondering about this for long too, i have not yet decided whether i want to try it or not. if i dont like it i am wondering if my bf would be disappointed if he liked it and i decided i didnt, he hasnt said anything about me doing it though, it would be completely for myself. but if i did it and he liked it better but i didnt...i would appreciate your thoughts on this and anything that would help me to make my decision.

i personally feel soo much cleaner and have never had razor burn. it may take a few times to get your own technique down but i definetly think its worth it.

You could try hair removal cream, its pretty much as good as shaving without the pain of waxing... I use creams, I think theyre great!
